That's a movie I will enjoy to watch for sure! The Mummy 3 looks great: even the Terra Cotta army rocks!

Unfortunately the Chinese censors have judged the Mummy 3 unsuitable for China: it is said that it could be due to the evocation of ghosts which would be taboo over there...

But no reason to worry; I am quite sure Rob Cohen will be willing to slightly review his movie in order to appease the censors and for the Chinese public to be allowed to enjoy this third installment of the Mummy movie series.

The Mummy 3, aka The Mummy Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor, is starring Brendan Fraser and John Hannah from the former movies plus Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li as the story takes place in China this time.

A new theatrical trailer has been released for the Mummy 3, here it is:

Yeti, dragon and mummies: this third opus of the Mummy movie series is going to be explosive with such a combination!

And Jet Li is probably the perfect choice to epitomize the Dragon Emperor.

The release of the 'Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' is for soon. Thanks to Access Hollywood we now may now see some footage of the Mummy 3 in a sneak preview clip.

In this third installment of the Mummy we'll find not only the usual Brendan Fraser and John Hannah but also Jet Li who plays as the evil Dragon emperor. Indeed, the story takes place in China this time.

The glimpse of footage of the Mummy 3 looks appealing. Let's hope that the Mummy 3 trailer which is going to be released in the coming days will confirm this first impression.

The Mummy 3 in 2008

The Mummy 3 should be released in August 2008. This last sequel of the Mummy movie series will star jet Li as China's first emperor Qin Shi Huang.
Indeed the plot of the Mummy 3 takes place in China.

Here the plot:
"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor will initially take place in ancient times in China and follow the background of the film's villain, China's first emperor Qin Shi Huang (played by Jet Li). The film will move forward to a post-World War II setting where Rick and Alex head to the forbidden tombs of China. In the Himalayas they discover a mummy that can change forms due to a female wizard's (Michelle Yeoh) curse." (source: Wikipedia)

Actor Brendan Fraser is still in the cast for The Mummy 3, though actress Rachel Weisz has left, being replaced by Maria Bello.The film will be shot in Montreal and China.

I really like movies involving characters from China's ancient times. Besides Jet Li is a good actor. So let's be optimist: this is not one more sequel, but rather a brand new interesting movie!
